Dr. Schwartzman was a professor and emeritus chair of the Department of Neurology at Drexel University College of Medicine. He retired from clinical practice in 2013 but remained quite active as the author of several neurological reference books.
Dr. Schwartzman gained national recognition for his decades of medical practice, research, and teaching. He had served as the neurology residency training director for programs at three universities and had been the chairman of neurology for three institutions.
